The way the Gods don’t call Predathos by name. The way they call it the Red End. That even the Gods are afraid to use it’s true name.

Names have power and the Gods themselves are afraid to give it any. They’ve kept the knowledge of it hidden for this long but now? Now that it’s coming, they truly dare not speak it’s name.

It’s the way it’s called the Red End. “End” Predathos is the fucking grim reaper of the Gods. Melora wasn’t scared when Tharizdun was fucking around with the Somnovem and the Angel of Irons shit. Chained Oblivion? Ah that’s just our sibling being their evil weird self.

But Predathos starts stirring and all the Gods are scared. They are so scared that they are calling every follower. FCG has barely started their faith and the Changebringer is like “we need you to fight for us or else.” Imagine starting your first day on the job and then your new boss is like okay now I’m promoting you to manager level work! Like of course the Gods need their champions, of course people need to be fighting this fight. But the fact that they are calling on everyone with just an inkling of faith shows how terrified they are.

And you have to wonder, how long has it been since the gods have felt this level of fear? When were they last challenged like this? The Calamity? The first coming of Predathos? The fallout from both of those incident was not pretty.

Exandria as a whole is on the verge of change.

holy shit Campaign 3 Episode 55 first watch post but holy fuck. Aeor was testing out the life warping effects of predathos in the biological research lab that crashed at A2. The Aeoran Hunters were obviously created as a predecessor to the Factorum Malleus, before Aeor realized going against all the gods would take smashing the moon prison.

Ludinis Da’Leth (probably) didn’t want to create the savalirwood when he attempted to crack open the moon in Molaesmyr (also not that he gives a shit about the people he’s hurt) but it probably failed back then even though it was on an apogee solstice because he didn’t have the keys in the feywild or shadowfell, the two mirror planes of Exandria, and the fact that he most certainly didn’t have a luxon beacon.

Funnily: i do think he had the fragment of divinity needed for a lens! “Wait how could he have that? what champion was running around molaesmyr at that time?” WELL. My account name is named after a silly little weapon that was absolutely fucked during that fateful moment. Melora, or more fittingly, Sehanine had a champion in the veluthil that was orbed by Ludinis 300 years before it was cool.
